Registration

Getting started with Postnomic takes just a few minutes. Navigate to the Postnomic website and click Sign Up. You will be redirected to our Auth0-powered authentication page where you can create your account.

Sign-Up Options

  • Email and Password — Enter your email address and choose a secure password. You will receive a verification email to confirm your address.
  • Social Login — Sign in with your existing Google or GitHub account for a faster setup experience.

After completing registration, Auth0 handles the identity verification and securely links your external identity to your Postnomic user profile.

Email Verification

If you registered with an email and password, check your inbox for a verification email from Postnomic. Click the verification link to activate your account. If you do not see the email:

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Ensure you entered the correct email address
  • Request a new verification email from the login page

Note: You must verify your email before you can access the Postnomic dashboard.

First-Time Login

Once your email is verified, log in to the Postnomic dashboard. On your first login, the platform will:

  1. Create your user profile — Your Auth0 identity is synced with a local Postnomic user record via your unique IdentityUserId.
  2. Assign the Free plan — Every new account starts on the Free tier, giving you 1 blog, 5 posts per month, and 100 MB of storage at no cost.
  3. Redirect to the dashboard — You will land on the main dashboard where you can create your first blog.

Setting Up Your Profile

After logging in, navigate to Profile Settings to complete your user profile:

  • Display Name — The name shown on your authored posts and profile pages.
  • Headline — A short professional title (e.g., "Senior Software Engineer").
  • Bio — A longer description about yourself, rendered on your author profile page.
  • Social Links — Add links to your GitHub, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or personal website.
  • Profile Picture — Upload an avatar image that appears alongside your posts and comments.

You can also add optional details like certifications, skills, education, and spoken languages to enrich your author profile.

Security Considerations

Your Postnomic account is protected by Auth0's enterprise-grade security infrastructure:

  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) — Enable MFA in your Auth0 account settings for an additional layer of security.
  • Session Management — Sessions use secure cookies with a 14-day sliding expiration and automatic token refresh.
  • Password Policies — Auth0 enforces strong password requirements when using email/password authentication.

Keep your credentials secure and never share your account access with untrusted parties. For team collaboration on blogs, use the built-in blog user management to invite members with appropriate roles.
